FAQ
There is only a difference in the way of selecting the mobile numbers. With the Basic sender this is optimised for sending to 1 to +- 50 numbers. You can very quickly search the address book and add individual numbers. The Bulk sender is optimised for sending sms messages to whole groups, or to all numbers from a file. Here you can also still add or omit numbers, but this requires a few more stages.
Otherwise there is no difference whatsoever between both tools. The price per sms and reliability is normally the same (unless specific settings were made in your account in consultation)
It makes no difference at all! We have an intelligent function that recognises all sorts of different notations and automatically converts mobile numbers to a universal format (e.g. +32(0)496/233.133 to 32496233133). We have not yet failed to read a number.
You can have variables from the address book automatically added per contact: [FIRSTNAME], [LASTNAME], [MOBILENUMBER], [EMAILADDRESS], [EXTRA1], [EXTRA2] AND [EXTRA3]. You can then send personalised sms messages. If you type ‘Hello [FIRSTNAME]' in your sms and send it to ‘John', the system will automatically send ‘Hello John'. You can use the extra1-3 fields in the address book for specific information.
You can send a sms to more than 100,000 numbers in just a few seconds through the website. The sms messages then go into your outbox from here we send them on the basis of the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement). As standard we provide a speed of 300 sms messages a minute.
Yes, this can easily be done. The import function supports CSV (.csv or .txt), Excel (.xlsx or .xls) and OOCalc (.ods) databases.
No specific structure is required. After uploading you can indicate the tab page and column where the specific fields are located. Possible fields: mobile phone number, first name, last name, first name and last name, last name and first name, email, extra1, extra2, extra3.
Yes, you can set this for a date up to six months ahead.
A sms can contain 160 characters. Some characters such as @, ~, |, [, ], ^, \, { and } use 2 characters. If the text is longer than 160 characters we automatically link a multiple of messages to each other. Then a maximum of 459 characters can be sent in 3 sms messages. You always see 2 counters in the online interface. The first counter counts down to the following sms. The second counter shows how many texts (1 to 3) will be sent and charged to each contact.
Some special characters are not supported by the mobile alphabet. If these are still used, they will automatically be replaced by an alternative. For example î by i. With important sms messages always first send a test to yourself.
This is not possible by default. We accordingly recommend defining a clear action in each sms. Example: “Phone xxx for more info.” Or: “Questions? www.website.be” Our customer service will be pleased to help you write a clear sms.
If you do want to be able to receive replies, hire a virtual or a premium number. We link the number to your account so the replies arrive in an online inbox or in your email account.
